Amdocs MarketONE is a platform that connects subscription services to reseller storefronts. It's designed to facilitate partnerships between organizations on the network, enable partners to create agreements with settlement models, and generate insights and analytics. Between the “Merchant” and the “Reseller” is a set of APIs designed for quick onboarding and developer integration.

I led the design of the MarketONE MVP, helped integrate it with a newly built design system, and created a North Star vision for the product.

Before we set out to build the UI, we talked to customers already using the APIs in order to understand their different personas, what they considered when forming partnerships with other organizations, as well as the process they were using.

We devised the core features of Partnerships, Products, and Agreements around how existing customers were already making deals and workflows around project management, finance, developer, and IT admin personas within organizations.

Product Design

The MVP was scoped with Partnership discovery and management, Products, and Agreements at the centre. We were driven to launch an MVP so customers could start to use the UI, and we could collect feedback and iterate. A few months before launching the MVP, the team updated our design system to follow the Amdocs Design System that had been recently released.

After we launched the MVP, I proposed my vision for the product to build towards in the near-term that I called "v1.1". The designs include insights and analytics integrated throughout the product, and a series of updates to the Amdocs Design System aiming to improve the user experience and increase accessibility.

An insightful homepage

The Home page features an overview of report data followed by top performing partners and products. For Merchants, a minimal notification feature is added to surface Partnership requests and Agreement proposals for added visibility. The page was designed to be flexible so more insights and features could be added in the future, such as recommended partners.

We created the Organization Profile as a place where customers could provide details about their organization – this data would be used throughout the platform, but was especially important to the discovery flow. Everything starts with Resellers discovering partners – beginning on the Discover page where Merchants on the network are arranged in a filterable grid view, and leading to details pages that leverage the Organization Profile to showcase Merchants and their products. Resellers can request a partnership with a Merchant, and if accepted, additional access and the ability to enter into agreements is granted.

Measuring partner performance

An organizations' active partners, as well as partnerships with a pending or declined status, are listed on the Partners page. This page tells the story of the partnership through the agreements partners create, including by charting important agreement data. The organization's profile (including Products), seen during the discovery flow, remains accessible from the top of the page.

Impact

By the end of 2022, we had sucessfully integrated MarketONE with the Amdocs Design System. The MarketONE MVP launched in early 2023 and we received positive feedback from existing customers, highlighting that they found it easy to use.
